Environmental Policy

Social responsibility is a fundamental part of our values and how we do business

Accounting for the environmental aspects, PAS Card's board of directors established the company's environmental policy in May 2006.

It is natural for PAS Card to get involved and to do our share in protecting the environment. As part of our social engagement and to contribute as an organization we have an active, long term environmental policy. Society, employees and customers all demand that we actively work together to save our environment and planet.

PAS Card´s environmental work should within our core business contribute to a long term, sustainable society with endurable profitability and a positive market brand. Therefore, we have adopted these new guidelines to be the base for our environmental work.

Within our organization we shall:

  • Carry out and develop our day-to-day work considering the environmental aspect in a serious manner. Environmental questions should always be taken into consideration when discussing the company's future development.

  • Motivate our employees to act in an environmental responsible manner. Keep the employees interest and engagement burning by continuous information and education.

  • Overview our loads of transports when receiving and delivering gods and when our employees perform duties to decrease the environmental impact. We should always evaluate the best possible transportation method, and office supply vendor in an environmental point of usage and implement new technologies if desirable. Make sure to evaluate the company's material and energy efficiency and consumption regularly. Handle the waste our company generates from our employees every-day-activities and other company processes in an environmental friendly manner.

  • Our goal is to actively obtain and spread environmental knowledge internally and externally and to encourage to integrate the dialogue within the entire organization.

  • Work with a centralized environmental quality management system to efficiently manage our environmental issues and duties.

  • To comply with laws and regulations (as a minimum requirement).

  • Work with a concrete company action plan with straight, easy to follow up, environmental goals to be presented for follow up yearly at PAS Card's board of directors meeting.

  • Educate all employees on how to act in case of emergency or other health and security incidents. All employees and all other persons performing services for PAS Card is expected to comply with our policy and to report any environmental, security or health problems or discrepancies.

RoHS & WEEE Directives

The RoHS Directive, restriction in the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronical equipment, came into force on July 1, 2006 which led to restrictions in use of mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium and a range of flame retardants notably polybrominated biphenyls and ethers. PAS Card understands the requirements of the RoHS Directive and ensure that our products, and its components, comply.

WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste Directive) came into force in January 2007. The WEE Directive aims to both reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it. It also aims to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment. PAS Card complies with the WEEE regulations
